Card Clearance Solitaire Challenge
Reviews
Card Clearance Solitaire Challenge keeps its rules to a single constraint: play a card one rank above or below the discard. That simplicity hides real depth, because every removal changes the legal options and the draw pile forces a choice between acting now and waiting. The move-count score gives a clear improvement target, and the lack of a timer suits players who prefer thinking over reflexes.
About this game
Rank-Order Clearing Rule
The rule is simple. A tableau card can go onto the discard pile only if its rank is exactly one higher or one lower than the top discard. If the discard shows a 7, only a 6 or an 8 can be played. This single constraint drives every decision.
Planning Beyond the Immediate Move
Because each play changes the top discard, it also changes which tableau cards become legal next. Removing one card may expose a useful rank or strand a card you needed later. The draw pile adds a second decision: draw now, or wait for a better tableau option. Strong play comes from seeing sequences that allow several removals in a row.
Scoring and Replay
Your score is the total number of moves. Fewer moves is better. There is no timer, so you can think at your own pace. You can replay the same puzzle to chase a lower move count, or move on to a new one.
Access and Interface
The game runs in any modern web browser on desktop or mobile. No download or installation is needed. The interface uses clear visual cues for the discard pile and tableau, with no complex menus or tutorials to navigate, so a session can start in seconds.
